July 10 Update

I have added days to Justin and Kristi's meal schedule.  You can find it here: http://www.takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=LIJI3140

Here are some notes about the meals:

Kristi's family will be in and out of town, so please plan to feed 4-6 adults and 2 kiddos.

Please deliver meals by 5:30, if you need help delivering your meal contact Becka (bam@spu.edu 310-962-4756) and we will get your meal delivered for you

In case it's not a good time for visitors, there will be a sign on the front door asking you to leave your meal outside. There will be a cooler on the front porch for this purpose.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you for serving the Davises in this way!

Becka

ALSO: Justin and Kristi will be checking this blog and would be so encouraged to hear from you.  Please feel free to leave comments here letting them know you are praying for them.

  8. Kristi and Justin,
Team Corley is praying daily for you and for the peace of God to dwell in your hearts and surround you every second of every day/night. We love you both so much and are "with" you in prayer! If you need me to ask Denny for the YL jet to bring some good 'ol fashion Colorado "spirits" (Coors lives here you know) say the word, no request is too extravagant!

    -Amanda

PS. Not sure YL has an actual jet, but I'm sure a program room somewhere has "jet packs" so we can make that work!

  12. Kristi - you and I had the honor of standing with April when she was married, and I just found out you are still facing cancer. I'm praying as I write this, and wanted you and Justin to know how sweetly I remember your spirit and your sense of humor. You two were such a wonderful, loving couple, filled with God's love and with love for life. I can only imagine that your husband and boys, along with the rest of your family, are basking in that same spirit, sense of humor, and love. May God hold you all, and may he be glorified even when we can't understand. Blessings, Jen Davis

  15. We love you guys sooooooooo much and I know you know we are praying for you so I'm just going to share a laugh from All Staff. I loved the moment when we were walking slow to our rooms after a full day at the park and some guy that knew Ryan was joking with him and said "man you are walking slow," then you turned and said "I have cancer suck it". Lol. That was so awesome because you were both joking but the guy was so horrified and felt so bad but it was a great laugh for all of us. I so love you attitude and commitment to Jesus and your family. You are a true testimony and we will always love you and anything you need please let us know. Our only regret is we don't live closer so we could really help out. But we promise to keep standing in the gap for you and the boys until our last day. Love always the Prothero family.

Hey Beautiful... Here are some excerpts from Jesus Calling by Sarah Young I want to share with you. "The Light of My Presence is brilliant and everlasting. Walk in the Light with Me. Thus you become a beacon through whom others are drawn to Me." "Whenever you feel distant from Me, whisper My Name in loving trust. This simple prayer can restore your awareness of My Presence." We all love you and your family so much. love, Nancy Binford Boehme

  20. To my dear young friend Kristi, I still remember when you came over from Parkcenter Montessori to work at Eagle Montessori.....Kim was so bummed to give you up and I was so excited to get to work with you.......I knew then how special you are, young wife, supportive friend and wife, going to school and making all of us laugh, kids and teachers. You have been a source of strength (sometimes I feel you are older than me, not me older than you), you have faith and determination beyond words, you are gift to me, and will always be a gift to me and clearly so many others. My heart is breaking, and yet;dear justin's pain is unimaginable. And that is because you are one of the most special, unique, odd sense of humor person I have ever met. I remember the day you were going to the doctors and the day you started on this fight for your life............you have fought good my dear friend. You have so much to be proud of, I promise to always remind your boys of the amazing strong, compassionate and fighter you are........we all have been blessed by you. I remember the phone call you made to me as you pulled off the side of the road when you got the call about Eli's birth...the pure joy and excitement was palpable. And then when Jerrell joined your family....it all just made sense, he is such a loving and compassionate boy, just like his mommy, you were meant to make a connection in this life.........Kristi, I love you so very much that I wish we could come up with other words that would describe how much you mean to me and the influence of love you have had in my life........thank you for loving me, laughing with me, asking to pray for me just 2 weeks ago (silly girl, calling me to pray for me...and yet that is you), and for showing me the grace, honesty, and strength in a situation that is so hard for our human understanding.........I love you girl and will forever be blessed by our friendship, my beautiful young friend, who counseled me so many times.........THANK YOU.....I am forever grateful.
    Love
    Kellie xoxo

  22. Kristi, You are an amazing mom as evidenced by your two loving and happy children! Both boys always give me, Miss Lisa and Miss Juanita a big hug when they arrive and when they leave. They are well loved children and they are so lucky to have you as their mother. Thank you for giving me the privilege to watch them while you worked. We met by chance when you and Justin answered my craigslist ad for my in-home daycare, but your family has become a part of my heart. From my family to yours, we are praying and holding you close in our hearts. Beautiful mom you. <3 Mandy Collins
