Legacy Gift for the Davis Boys

A gift that we can give our dear Kristi is to help pass on her legacy to her sons, Jerrell & Eli.  We are creating hardcover memory books to present to Justin and the boys so that they will forever know what an amazing person Kristi is and will always be.  This is where we need your help!  Please email any stories/experiences/photos that you had with Kristi to celebratingkristi@gmail.com.    

Here are a few guidelines to help get you started:

1. Please write your stories/letters as if you are talking to       Jerrell & Eli.  (ie. Your mom and I did this…your mom told me this once…dear Jerrell and Eli, etc.  We want this to be uplifting and full of stories about Kristi’s life!)
2. Please include your name, as well as where and when you met Kristi.
3. The rest is up to you!  You can send a long or short story; include PICTURES, anything you want.  Send several stories, if you’d like!  Just ask yourself..."What would I want Kristi's children to know about their amazing mother?" and go from there!

We would like to have this book completed in November, so please do your best to email your stories by October 31, 2012!  

 *If you would like a copy of Kristi’s memory book, they will be available to purchase. 

PS - if you sent an entry for Kristi's scrapbook in July, we will include that in the memory book.  If you would like to send a new entry, please feel free to do so!

Friday's Service

Kristi's service details are no longer tentative.  The service will be Friday, August 17, at 4:30 pm at Ustick Baptist Church on McMillan (just west of Eagle Rd).  All are invited to come and celebrate Kristi's incredible and courageous life!

Kristi's cousin, Cyndee, is collecting pictures for the service.  If you have pictures you'd like to contribute, please email them to her at cyndee@ashkiphoto.com. 

Service Information

On behalf of Justin and the Letey family, thank you so much for your messages, texts, emails, and Facebook messages.  While they are so incredibly sad, they also feel so very well loved and supported by all of you.  Thank you!

The service to celebrate Kristi's incredible life is tentatively set for Friday, August 17th, at 4:30 pm at Ustick Baptist (14301 W McMillan Rd Boise, ID 83713).  A few things are still needing finalization, so we will post an update if anything changes.  We hope many of you can make it.

Kristi is with Jesus

It is with a heavy and sad heart and so many tears that I write this.  Kristi went home to be with Jesus around 7:40 this evening.  She was surrounded by her parents and Justin and was able to spend the afternoon with her brothers. 

Although we are so sad, we KNOW that Kristi is no longer in pain.  After such a long and hard fight, this brings us so much comfort to know she is once again whole.  She is in the presence of Jesus!

Please continue to pray for Justin, Jerrell, and Eli, and the whole Letey family.

Please pray - August 12 Update

Kristi had a very scary episode this morning and it is clear that her heart is quite tired and stressed.  They are all very scared and ask for your prayers.

Last Day to Register!

Just a reminder that today is the last day to register your team for the kickball tournament on Saturday.  Head over to http://www.gamedayboise.com/ to sign up.  Remember - if we can get more than 10 teams signed up $100 from each team fee goes right to the Davis family!  If you have any questions please email Eric at eric@gamedayboise.com.

Kick Balls, Save Lives

GameDay Sports Leagues is having a kickball tournament on August 18th and they have chosen the Davis family to be the recipients of money raised during the tournament!  What a fun way to help out Justin, Kristi, and the boys!  Registration is open to teams of 10.  So get your team together and head over to http://www.gamedayboise.com/ to get registered!  It's $200 per team and if more than 10 teams sign up they will donate half of that to the Davises (25% for less than 10 teams)!  I'm SURE we can get more than 10 teams.  Questions?  Head over to the website or email me at bam@spu.edu.
